Getting to work in 2010: Our new plans!
I got Message from 350.org. yes, I think you guys also want to know it. so I just share it with you.
Getting to work in 2010: Our new plans!
Dear Friends,
Well, no one said it was going to be easy.
Last year, thanks to many of you, we built up enormous momentum for climate solutions. The global day of rallies you pulled off on October 24th turned out to be "the most widespread day of political action in the planet's history," according to CNN, with 5200 actions in 181 countries.
And in Copenhagen that translated into 117 countries--most of the world's nations--supporting a tough 350 target.
But it didn't translate into political victory. The biggest polluters wouldn't go along. So we still have work to do.
In fact, our slogan for 2010 is "Get To Work." Get to work to start changing our communities, and get to work to make our leaders realize that they actually need to lead. We've sifted through thousands of your emails from all over the world, and come up with an action plan for this year that we think may break the logjam and get us moving. But only, of course, if we act together to make it happen.
The first date to mark on your calendar: October 10. Working with our friends at the 10:10 campaign, we're going to make the tenth day of the tenth month of the millennium's tenth year a real starting point for concrete action. We're calling it the 10/10 Global Work Party, and in every corner of the world we hope communities will put up solar panels, insulate homes, erect windmills, plant trees, paint bikepaths, launch or harvest local gardens. We'll make sure the world sees this huge day of effort--and we'll use it to send a simple message to our leaders: "We're working--what about you? If we can cover the roof of the school with solar panels, surely you can pass the legislation or sign the treaty that will spread our work everywhere, and confront the climate crisis in time." 10/10/10 will take a snapshot of a clean energy future -- the world of 350 ppm -- and show people why it's worth fighting for. It's not too early to sign up here: http://www.350.org/oct10
Every nation is not created equal in this climate crisis, of course. If we can't get the biggest polluters and the biggest economies to change, then we'll never win. So we're going to focus some particular attention on China, the United States, and India with a Great Power Race--college and university campuses will compete to see who can come up with the most, and the most creative, climate solutions. We hope friendly competition will help governments see that they have a lot to gain by diving into clean energy--and a lot to lose by missing this opportunity.
And we'll keep figuring out ways to apply political pressure where it counts--in the U.S. Senate, say, where we're joining a group of our best allies in backing the proposed Cap-and-Dividend approach that would stop letting big polluters pour carbon into the sky for free. In other parts of the world, we'll hold more of the climate leadership workshops that produced so many great leaders last year.
And as the next UN conference approaches in Mexico in December, we'll stage the largest piece of public art in the planet's history--a reminder that we have to bring passion to bear along with science and economics if we're going to move this process.
We know, from the calls and emails we've been getting, that people all over the world are ready to go to work. We think this plan can increase the odds of real action. We know that we have no choice. When, years down the road, the next generation asks what we did to save the planet, we want to be able to say: "We rolled up our sleeves and got to work." There's no guarantee we can beat the rich and powerful interests that we're up against--but thanks to you we've got enough momentum to have a real chance. Let's use it now.
Onwards,
Bill McKibben and the 350.org Team
P.S. We've learned that there's great power in pictures, and so we decided to make an audio slideshow that walks through our plan for 2010 and how we got here. Please watch it, and share the piece with family & friends by spreading this link:http://www.350.org/audio-
P.P.S. We want to know what your reaction is to the plan for 2010--will you share your ideas and thoughts with the Global 350 Facebook Community by leaving a comment in the latest message? (http://www.facebook.com/350.

Finally I got it!
and I got some responses when I checked my inbox at lunch break.
One Company showed the fright ticket between Narita and Singapore around $830 UN Dollars.
*I understood the fright to Malaysia is more expensive than it to Singapore. so I chose separate way, I went to Singapore and then, I will buy cheep fright ticket to Malaysia by Air Asia or Jet Star Asia.
yeah, it is still expensive, compared with usual price.
(I can buy around $500 US Dollars usually.)
but I also think it is better.
several friends kindly suggested me to buy ticket between Japan and Taipen or Hongkong. then I can buy any cheep ticket by Tiger Airways, Jet Star Asia or Air Asia.
but there are two problems.
one is that these tickets between Japan and HongKong or Taipei also expensive. it seems around &630 US Dollars.(all ticket which go or come to Japan is super expensive.) if I choose the fright to Hong Kong or Taipei, it makes almost no difference with ticket to Singapore.
second point is time.
although the price of ticket via Hon kong or Taipei is cheeper than ticket via Singapore, the available time of mine is limited.
and I also want to meet some guys in Singapore.
so I decided to buy the fright ticket between Japan and Singapore.
to the guys in Indonesia,
if I have much more time, I will go to Jagarta, Yogajagarta, Bogor, and Bandung.
but this holiday is not enough. because Indonesia is too large.
however, I also have the plan to go to Indonesia this Summer(I can get the holidays) or at least next year.
anyway, see you soon.
P.S. I will share my details of tour, coming soon.
Too Expensive Fright Ticket
now I am trying to get fright ticket to Malaysia in my Spring Vacation.
but the fright ticket is too expensive in Japanese Spring Holiday season.
usually, the fright ticket between Japan and Malaysia(return) seems $500 US dollars.
but it is over $1000 US dollars in Holiday season.
I cannot believe it.
but I am still looking for the way.

No one decide to live the place before Birth
No one hope to be born in the place of no access to education and health care.
No one hope to be born in the place suffering from insecurity.
No one hope to be born in the place violated human rights.
although there is no world government which provides safe net to these people in free from fear and want, International Cooperation such as United Nations, Non-Government Organization, Social Entrepreneur, Government Assistant and so on, plays this function.
I think especially Official Development Assistance(ODA) can make most difference.
because ODA can help and empower people efficiently in long term.
as you know, ODA based on Government Budget.
it came from Tax. so this financial resource is stronger than others.
and people are tax payers, so if we hope to live with people in other countries, ODA can live as sustainable approach.
but sometime, ODA went bad.
ODA made not only Dam or high way but also violation human rights or destruction of natures and culture.
for better and more aid, we as people need to show our will to government.
and my job is to help these actions.
I don't agree that the place decides destiny of people. no one want to live under poverty and conflict and no one decide the place of living before BIRTH.
so this is the reason I am working in Non Governmental Organization.
아침이슬 and 참이슬
there was one music concert.
I asked Angela and went with her.
in that concert, Tomoe Sawa, Japanese Singer whose parent is Japanese Father and Korean Mother, sang English Japanese and Korean songs.
there were quite great songs.
yeah, now I am crazy about her music.
아침이슬 is one of greatest song in that concert.
and Soun Kim, Tomoee Sawa's grand father, translated and introduced 아침이슬 as 朝露 (Asatsuyu/ Morning Calm) to Japanese people.
yeah, this song is quite good song.
by the way, I misunderstood 아침이슬(Achimisuru) as 참이슬(Chamisuru) first time.
Angela pointed out not 참이슬.
I think 참이슬 is more famous in Japan.
but I memorized 아침이슬 as Morning Calm as important word in that time.

4 days to save the oceans
Our ocean ecosystems are literally dying under pressure from mass, uncontrolled commercial fishing and pollution. This decision could start to turn the tide. But commercial fishing companies are opposing the move, putting short term profits ahead of all sense. We can’t let that happen -- already, over 90% of big fish like tuna and marlin are gone.
Together, let’s send the UK government a tidal wave of global public support urging them to be bold and protect oceans from exploitation.Sign the petition below, then forward it to everyone you know. It will be delivered to Foreign Secretary David Miliband by the deadline this Friday!
http://www.avaaz.org/en/save_
The reports are dire: in 38 years, our oceans could be completely fished-out, in 100 years, all coral reefs might be dead. This action alone won’t be enough to turn the tide. But it will establish a 210,000 square-mile Marine Protected Area -- bigger than the Great Barrier Reef.
To truly save the world’s oceans from collapse will require bold political leadership and dedicated citizens taking action. In 2010, the International Year of Biodiversity, a UK decision to create the world's largest Marine Protected Area would secure a conservation legacy almost unrivalled in scale and significance. This would set a clear example to other governments around the world.
Let's drown out the voices of the commercial fishing companies, and lay the foundation for protecting our oceans for generations to come.Sign the petition below, and forward it to friends and family:

The truth can stop Uganda's gay death penalty
It's an extraordinary response to a terrifying law -- but more is needed. Extremists are escalating their rhetoric -- with anti-gay activists whipping up rage by spreading awful myths. But very few know the harsh details of this draconian bill. And no public opinion poll has asked whether the Ugandan people would support such mass execution.
The Ugandan movement against the bill, which has been electrified by global solidarity, hasn't had the resources to inform their fellow citizens about the bill's deadly provisions.
If enough of us chip in, we can help launch radio spots, newspaper ads, and billboard campaigns that reach millions of Ugandans with the truth -- and a powerful, human call to protect human rights. Donate now to fuel the defense of rights in Uganda:
https://secure.avaaz.org/en/ugandan_voices/?vl
While homophobia is widespread in Uganda, as in much of the world, so is a belief in basic human rights -- and this bill is, at heart, an assault on human rights.
The fundamental belief that every life is equally precious, regardless of nation, creed, or sexual orientation, is at the heart of the opposition to this bill. It's what has led hundreds of thousands of us to sign the petition -- which has been sent to Ugandan and donor governments, and was presented this morning to the Speaker of the Parliament in Uganda. And it's what has united the church leaders, gay groups, and human rights advocates in Uganda to join together for justice.
The Ugandans at the front lines of this struggle are doing all they can. Our support -- resources that cost us very little -- can make all the difference in the world to them. Donate here:
https://secure.avaaz.org/en/ugandan_voices/?vl
Let's rise to this moment, and make their cause our own.
With hope,
Ben, Alice, David, Paula, Benjamin, Ricken, and the whole Avaaz team

MALAYSIA
there will be 5 days or 6 days vacation in Japan.
so if I get air ticket and appropriate days, I wanna go to Malaysia.
meaning of Young and hopeful
is it no given road?
(Japanese) Education System taught us the process to find given answer in existing trouble when we were young.
but it never taught us how to make the answer in un-expected things.
after I finished my school days, I noticed there were much more trouble we had not expected.
and there was no given answer.
in the other context of (Japanese) Education, we hate "Mistake".
we want to be the perfect person. then we sometime tend to be hard to challenge new things.
we tend to be stay in present status.
we are likely to be in conservative as negative meaning.
BUT, what is meaning of YOUNG?
there is no perfect guy.
I think important thing is how to learn in each lesson.
yeah, of course, we need to think and simulate the result before try.
but we should not only simulate.
be positive and energetic!
the experience in young, even though it is mistake, helps our future.
and these actions show us the future as hope.
Good Luck
